Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Selena I.R. Drake I had to do a book report in high school, so I went to the library and picked out a random book. That book turned out to be Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonsong", which is the story of a young girl who tames nine mini dragons. It got me wondering what it would be like if that same young girl tamed full-sized dragons instead. And since I was playing Final Fantasy VII a lot at the time, I came up with the idea of elemental dragons.
