What made you choose each of the cities that the Sullivan families and your other series are set in? What draws you to those particular places so much?

Bella Andre Hi Jennifer! Great question! The first 9 Sullivan books are set in the San Francisco Bay Area because that's where I'm from (and it's beautiful, too!). I knew once I started writing about the Sullivan cousins that I would want to set their books in other area that are just as beautiful! At the same time, it helps me a great deal while writing the books if I know each setting really well. I lived in the Pacific Northwest for a while, so Seattle was a natural location for the first set of Sullivan cousins. After Seattle, we're heading up to Maine -- my husband and I took a vacation in Bar Harbor years ago and I've never forgotten how amazing it was! And then, how could I skip New York City for the next set of Sullivan cousins?

I love working with a combination of city and country in each area of the U.S. that I set my books in. For example, THE LOOK OF LOVE is set in Napa Valley, FROM THIS MOMENT ON is set in San Francisco, and CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE is set partially in Lake Tahoe.
