Shai asked Susan Mallery:

When you are writing your books how can you stop yourself from changing your mind about the plots, scenes or charaters?

Susan Mallery Hi, Shairah. Thank you for the question. Here’s the thing. Ideas are perfect. They’re concepts, unmarred by human hands. When you start trying to get them down on paper, they become less than perfect. It’s the nature of the beast. And when that happens, it’s easy for a writer to get distracted by the next shiny, perfect idea. But if you want to finish a book, you have to accept the imperfection and keep working to get the story down. Just have an ideas folder and put your new ideas there, so you can work on them after you’ve finished the current story.
