I love the characters that I have created and I loved to watch them interact with each other. When I'm stuck, I try to change things up and see how they will interact in a different place or with different people. It's like playing with a Barbie when you're a kid. I come up with different scenarios to see what my characters will do. Sometimes it leads to a great storyline and a better understand of who the character really is.

Loved your blog on Feb 21 Writing Problems: Organizing Timelines, Character Histories, or Complicated Fight Scenes -- my series (The Blind Girl's War) is 12 volumes too but thankfully, I don't have 212 characters to mind... are you organized from the beginning or did you go back and organize them over a period of time? I envy your Powerpoint, Excel expertise.. that is brilliant.
