Goodreads asked Jack Goodwind:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Jack Goodwind Actually this is a very important question. And the thing is that it is one of the few careers in which the “competition” is replaced by a sort of “brotherhood”. In a world where, maybe just economically speaking, the success of one person involves the supremacy on the others, the life of a writer allows you to celebrate and adore your “competitors”, because no matter how successful one of you is, the other can be too. And this is taking the “win-win” mindset to a new level, actually it makes you able to live by it. Awesome!
