What draws you to writing about the Regency?

Ann Lethbridge Michelle, good question, thank you for asking. Regency romances were the first ones I read and I was drawn to the romance of a world with lords and ladies, rakes and bluestocking, horses and carriages, balls and long gowns. It is also an era that seems accessible to the modern reader, not so far from today that we can't understand the mores and the society rules. It is also on the cusp of great change, the industrial revolution, so there is lots going on in discovery and science to give a writer ideas for stories.
