What do you think of librarians? Also, as a reader/author, how can you persuade others to read?

What's not to love about librarians?! They are the keeper of the books! That alone demands that readers and authors alike love them :) As a reader, I like to just recommend books. I don't really try to persuade others to read. Thankfully, in my line of work, there aren't that many people who don't read so persuading isn't too hard. As an author, I just hope my work speaks for itself :)
