Jahlen asked Christina Lauren:

What do you think of librarians? Also, as a reader/author, how can you persuade others to read?

Christina Lauren Hi, Jahlen! Librarians are majestic creatures that should be given chocolate and tiaras and front row parking. So basically... we love them! A library can be a book lovers best friend and also a savior to someone who doesn't frequent libraries often and might need a guiding hand. As to persuading others to read? This is our mission. We covertly leave books at friends houses and gift them e-books we love/know they must read, and have possibly been known to trick people into bets they have zero chance of winning in order to force them into reading a book we can't shut up about. ALLEGEDLY.
But in all seriousness, there are tons of ways to encourage kids to read and enjoy books, but we'll keep our answer to what we ~think~ your question is about--dealing with people who say "oh, I don't read books."
*clutches chest* *falls on the ground*
In our experience the best way to get people to read is to talk about reading! Tweet/fb/instagram/blog/skywrite/discuss the stories you love and what they mean to you, the enthusiasm can be catching. Nobody can sell a book faster than someone who loves it.
