Ev asked Laura Kaye:

What is the most difficult thing you find in writing?

Laura Kaye Plotting is probably my biggest challenge in writing. I'm more of a "pantser," or a writer who writes by the seat of their pants. I usually know the big plot points of the story but not all the connective tissue that hooks them together. But once you start selling books on unfinished proposals, you really have to do more plotting so you can communicate what the book will be about and how it will all come together. And I find I can't "wing" romantic suspense stories the way I can books without suspense plots because you really have to know where to sprinkle the suspenseful bread crumbs along the way and how to build up to them. So I've been working on plotting more and more. Thanks for the question!
