Why did you decide to write young adult books rather than fiction for adults?

Kristen Simmons Hi Elizabeth,

I love writing young adult books because I love that age - everything is so fresh and acute, and characters are trying to figure out who they are and how they fit in the world. It's such a complicated time, compounded by the issues that arise in the plot. I just love it. :)
