Goodreads asked Andrew Pyper:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Andrew Pyper Ah, this one is easy. Because there is no such thing as writers block! If you do not believe me, just go to the doctor, get a MRI or x-ray done. They will never find writers block in any scan or blood test! It does not exist outside of an excuse of your own making.

The key is to see writing as a job more than a thing that requires the angels to sing before you can put words to paper. If you did not show up at work for three weeks and your only excuse was that you had job block - what would happen. Right. You would get canned. The thing to do is sit down and do it. Just put words down. They do not have to be good, or the right words. Just WORDS. Your brain will take over. A story will emerge. It really is all about that chair, your bum in it, and the making of words. From there comes the making of worlds.
