Inspiration for me is about feeling the need to tell a story, to communicate something to others. The kernels of what stories I wind up telling come from the daily events I see, and hear about, and read about, and take part in as part of my life. That's the abstract part though: the practical mechanics of sitting down and writing --- that requires a little inspiration as well. Usually in the form of a neurotic and overwhelming demand to act productive.
