Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nigel Edwards It actually started with the birth of my son. I wanted to write something that he would maybe enjoy when he was a little older, i.e. no longer dependent on pictures. However, it wasn't until a couple of years later, when we came back from a vacation in Cornwall, England. I'd bought a souvenir, a dragon made from bits of metal, bent nails and goodness knows what else; and voila! The Scrapdragon was born!
