What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Shannon Taylor Vannatter Join a national group geared toward your genre. I spent several years attending local writing conferences twice a year - a slow way to learn. I decided there had to be something more and googled Christian Romance Conferences. I found American Christian Fiction Writers. With online classes, webinars, and the yearly conference, I learned much faster. Also, check out the Seekerville blog. It started out as 12 writers trying to get published and entering contests. Now they're all published and give writing advice. My critique partner read their blog including all the archives, went to her first writing conference and a 3 book contract.
