Goodreads asked Lori Ericson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lori Ericson I don't believe in writer's block. There's writer's laziness, apathy, and boredom with your work in progress, but no block. If I'm having trouble with figuring out what to write in the next scene and can't get past it, there's something wrong with the prior scenes. Sometimes it's just a matter of reading over what I've written thus far to figure it out from there or to motivate me out of the laziness. If I'm apathetic to what I'm writing, I probably need to start over. If I'm apathetic or bored with it, how will the reader feel?
