Kimberly Dean asked Jennifer Ashley:

I really enjoy all of your books!! How do you keep you mind focused on one book without letting the others sneak in?? I understand in the series books that you can mesh a bit but if someone from another series tries to take over what do you do?? How do you keep the love scenes fresh??

Jennifer Ashley I have no idea how I focus on one book at a time. I can compartmentalize well, for some reason. If someone from another series tries to take over (and they do), then I will switch to that book and write down a scene or dialog, or something, to get it out of my head (and so I won't forget).

For keeping love scenes fresh, that's a trick! I mean, there's only so much that can go on, when it comes down to it, LOL. What I try to do is understand the characters' emotions at the time--are they thinking only of the physical side? Are they angry? Happy? Relieved? Relaxed? Stressed? Worried? What happens in a love scene can (and should) affect the relationship of the characters (positively or negatively) and move the story along.

So each one becomes unique, even if of course, some of the same things happen. I also try very hard to describe what happens in different words or in a different way every time. Keeps me on my toes.
