Hello Samantha! First of all I want to thank you for the beautiful experience that is reading your books! Second, I would like to know with what character to do begin writting your story? Do you think of a leading lady and after that continue with a male character and develop a love story? Or is the male character more fun and demanding to built a story around ? Hi Ramona, thanks so much for your question!
For me it depends. For instance with On Dublin Street Joss's character came to me first. She's a very personal, real character for me and I wanted my debut into contemporary romance to be as authentic as possible. I started with her and then I built Braden around her to be the kind of man that could break through her high defences.
With Echoes of Scotland Street, however, Cole was the hero I'd already spent several books developing, so his heroine had to be built around him and what he needed, and thus Shannon was born! It's all about creating couples who make each other better in some way, and give each other something that no one else has been able to before. That's what makes their love so special and hopefully so real.

Hi Samantha! I love your work and think you are absolutely fantastic; I often find it hard to finish a romance novel but your work is a true exception. My question for you is a little dated but I've been wondering if Beck from 'Into the Deep' will ever get his own story with Claudia? It's been a long time since I've read the book but I remember being so obsessed with their relationship and would love to read about it.

Hi Samantha, I just finished reading and reviewing Hero. I enjoy reading your books, you're a very talented author. I remember reading that you visited Boston last year while here in the US. Was it while you were there that you were inspired to write Hero? Did the city inspire you or had you had Cain and Alexa's story already plotted out before you were there? Thanks, Sue Czarnomski
