Erica Ridley Great question! Prior to living in Costa Rica, I lived in Florida for about twelve years. The family of one of my good friends had a vacation home in Costa Rica that they wanted to promote as a rental property when they weren't using it. At the time, web development was my day job, so down I flew to take some photos and make a website.

I fell in love with Costa Rica on first sight! The people I met within hours of arriving are still good friends to this very day. When I found myself returning to Costa Rica every year and staying for longer and longer stretches every time, I finally gave in.

I sold my house in Tampa and made the move to Costa Rica permanent. I'm so glad I did! Not only do I love it here, but also the simpler, more peaceful lifestyle enabled me to focus more on writing.

I'm now a full-time writer who occasionally moonlights as a web developer, instead of the other way around. I couldn't be happier!
