Goodreads asked Linda Rawlins:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Linda Rawlins Keep writing - every day. Continue reading, writing and then editing. It takes years to become a brain surgeon and writing is similar. Join a writer's group, attend public readings. Go to a writer's conference and connect with other writers. Don't start editing until after you've written a complete first draft. Fine wine, scotch and cheese take time to flavor and so does writing. Don't get discouraged, just keep writing!
