Erin asked Kristen Ashley:

Is being a popular, published author everything you hoped it would be? Most people even if they land their 'dream job' it's still just a job and not your life.

Kristen Ashley No, it isn't everything I hoped it would be. It's more. So much more it's impossible to describe.

It's beautiful.

It's bliss.

Yes, it is my "job" but bottom line, it's my DREAM job. I love it. I love telling stories. I love connecting with readers. I love "being there" for folks when they need me (or when they need my tales, my characters, my worlds). I love making people laugh. I love giving people an escape. I even love it when folks tell me that I've made them cry or get angry because that's me helping them to FEEL and that's AWESOME.

I might not love updating my website because that's boring. But in this gig, there isn't much else I don't love.

I have a sisterhood that spans the globe. I never expected having that gift handed to me. I worked for it, absolutely. This isn't something you do for a couple of hours then go off and eat bonbons! :-) But I get lost in it and the "work" is so worth it, it isn't funny.

I try to be certain not to make writing my whole "life" because I have to live life, experience it, explore all there is to see, feel, taste, touch so I can put that in my writing.

But straight up, this is absolutely my dream job...with emphasis on dream. I live that dream and I do it by being able to keep dreaming regularly and giving those dreams to my Rock Chicks.

Not sure it could get much better...but I'll be happy to take it if it does!
