Who was your inspiration from Ronnie - is it someone you have worked with?

Marc Cameron That is a grew question. I've had the opportunity to work with several incredible female officers, deputy marshals and special agents over the last thirty years. Veronica Garcia is a mixture of these tough and capable women. I have a close friend from my US Marshals days that, though not nearly so zaftig, has much the same personality. We worked together on several assignments across the country over the years so I'm sure she had quite a bit of influence. As a side note, when I first envisioned the chapter in ACT OF TERROR that introduced Ronnie Garcia, she was supposed to die a heroic death in the gunfight at CIA HQ. But the more I wrote of her character, the more I like her and the more possibilities I saw. I found I just couldn't stand to write her out of the storyline. She was just too perfect for Jericho's a love interest.
