Hi, Melanie! I just finished The Merchant's daughter and I loved it!!!!!! It is the third book by you I have read and it is definitely my favorite! I am so excited to read the next ones! :D Which one took you the longest to write?
Melanie Dickerson
Hello, Sierra Faith! As you might have guessed, The Merchant's Daughter took me longer to write than any of my other books. That was due in part to what was going on in my life at the time, the amount of research I had to do, and even the heaviness of subject matter, not to mention the fact that I was trying to get The Healer's Apprentice published at the time and not having any luck. Everyone was telling me that Medievals did not sell well, nobody wanted them, etc. So . . . it took me about a year to write.
Thanks for asking! So happy you enjoyed it!

Hi Melaine, I absolutely love your books! I literally have read them all in the past month. I cannot wait until A Dangerous Engagement comes out later this year and for An Orphan's Wish to come out next year! My question is that are you going to write any other books in the A Medieval Fairy Tale or in the The Regency Spies of London??

HI Melanie! You know I LOVE your books. This is an author question for you and something I was thinking about after re-reading the Healer's Apprentice. How do you plan the setting of your books? What thoughts go into it? And, what is the biggest thing you consider when putting in a Christian theme for each book? Is it part of the premise, etc? Thanks so much for all that you do. You are SO inspiring <3

Hey Melanie Dickerson! I am a HUGE fan of your books, and they all make me feel like a little princess when I read them. I love how you can see God in every circumstance and how he works it out. And I would love it if you could give me some tips. I have been writing a book based on the Iron Age in Ireland and maybe France, and I was wondering if you had any tips on research or writing in general?
