But, if so (in my humble opinion), To Kill a Mockingbird was not written by Harper Lee! No writer could go from tedious and uninspired garbage in one book, then write the American book of the ages right after. Also, in my humble opinion, this book was written well after To Kill A Mockingbird. Whoever wrote it sticks in references to people and incidents in Mockingbird in a deliberate effort to convince the reader otherwise. This is clearly a look backwards, not a look at what was happening at the time. I think someone wanted to make a lot of money.(less)
