Was it really written by Harper Lee? Readers might be able to tell. Either way, it will make millions for her lawyer and the publisher.

Ms. Harper's friend regaled the people sitting at her table with stories of when Harper was younger and about her friendships with other authors, such as Truman Capote. The friend stated that Harper Lee, who is in a retirement home & looked after, never wanted this manuscript to be published, and is very upset that it has been. I am assuming that the reason behind it may have to do with her estate needing the money to pay for her living expenses.(less)
