What age would this series be appropriate for? In a chapter before-bed sort of way. I would like to read it to my son one day when he is older. I have seen the movies and honestly, they seem very dark and have a lot of death. The first movie we can say is for children but as the movie series goes on the films seem to get darker and darker. So, what age are we thinking here?
