Hi Mark, I really enjoyed the Ancestor Trilogy - do you have any plans, or thoughts, to return to it and continue it in the future? After the Battle of Verity, you never say how many of the Senior Novices were killed, nor who many of them were. We are left in the dark as to the fates of Mally, Meesha, Elani, Crocey, Sharlot and Haluma at least. Can you tell us how many were killed and who they were?

Hi Robert - very glad you had fun with the books no plans to return, no. I like to do new things: hence the trail of trilogies in my wake! There are 3 short stories in "Tales of Abeth" if you want another taste. And, of course, The Book of the Ice trilogy, starting with THE GIRL AND THE STARS is set on Abeth ... who knows, there might be some overlap in there.
The fates of those unaccounted for will have to remain lost in the fog of war. If I ever do write more about them then I'll enjoy the freedom of being able to choose whatever most serves the story.

Mark Lawrence:
How much time did you spend and what kind of process did you use, working on how much technology, buildings, roads etc, would be left for your characters to use and explore? Also, what level the tech would be at? How characters would view it all through their 'medieval' lense? And how to use it in such a way that it wouldn't ruin the fantasy 'vibe'? Thanks for your incredible work Mark. Dana

Hello, sir. I'm a huge fan and can assuredly say that I enjoyed every series you've currently put out, the Red Queen's War especially so. You've most definitely influenced me as a young tween to get more into books, and I can credit you to jump starting my dream of wishing to become an author, such as yourself. Can you recall any author or series you read that inspired you to begin writing?
