Good afternoon, Mark. As a fan and collector, I was devastated when I learned VJ Books would shut down. Do you have plans for any signed books in the USA market? The Signed Page usually will have signed bookplates, but wanted to go to the source to see whether you had any plans for the American market. Thanks in advance and am looking forward to Book that Held Her Heart.

Mark Lawrence Hi Phil - I don't have any plans, no. I react to requests. VJ Books reached out to me many years ago and every year since, and I have on occasion been asked to sign bookplates for The Signed Page (along with many signed special editions - both singles and omnibuses for the allied Grim Oak Press).

I will continue to do similar signings for any enterprises that asks me to, but I can't set up such a company and I'm not aware of any waiting to fill the VJ Books void. Hopefully someone will come along.

I don't know how this process works and am sure you may have been told this before; but I want to share something I want to see. I was browsing the bookstore just the other day and I happened on several themed Monopoly sets. Two of these sets were based on The Legend of Zelda and another on A Game of Thrones. I have never bought a themed Monopoly game; but I want The Red Queen's War! Can you make it happen, Mark!?

Looking to the future are you tempted to write anything that’d fall more into the Horror category? You seem to enjoy Stephen King, for example. I think there’s often not much difference between darker, realistic, fantasy and the horror genre. Maybe the main difference is the world in which it’s set, with ‘conventional horror’ being more contemporary, in our world?
