Richard Ferguson
Richard Ferguson asked Brian Terence:

Hello Brian, fellow old-bloke. Query: In order to experience joy, must there first be suffering? By the way, like the humorous aspects of your writing (haven't read any of your books yet, but I will definitely pick up a copy. Any recommendations for reading the first of your books?

Brian Terence Hi Richard,
Thank you for the question. The first part sounds very philosophical, which is well above my pay grade, although if it's a subject you'd like to chat about search the discussions, there's probably something of interest.
All of my stories on Kindle are short stories (10-20 pages approx.), hoping to have a 'collection' available by around Xmas. It's with my editor.

The story 'Words Of The Sole' makes reference to a specific aspect of British culture, so unless you listen to a lot of BBC Radio, you might want to give that a miss.

'I'm An Angel....' is an irreverent, but funny, retelling of a Biblical story, so if you're religious, you might want to miss that one too. I don't want to offend anyone.

'To Have & To Hold' is written in a 1950s style, if you liked Asimov, you might like it. It's a lot of innuendo, my editor said it made her laugh out loud.

'Terminal Vision' is more drama than comedy, so you might like that. It's also the longest at over 20 pages.

'Ahead In Time' is a kind of play on words, there's a myth that the Knights Templar had a talking bronze head, this was my inspiration, again, comedy.

'Beneath The City of the Ancients' and 'An Archaeological Twist' are both post-apocalyptic stories with a mystery or unexpected ending.

I hope you like them, it would really help me if you could leave a review. I'm very new to writing, so any help would be great.

Cheers.

Brian.
