Goodreads asked Roderick Chapman:

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

Roderick Chapman If I could step into a fictional world, it would be nearly impossible to choose between Narnia and Alagaësia—two lands that have captivated my imagination since childhood.

In Narnia, I’d long to walk through the snowy forests under the light of the lamppost or visit Cair Paravel to stand in awe of its majesty. I’d hope to meet Aslan, whose wisdom and presence have always inspired me, and perhaps join a quest to bring balance and peace to this magical land. There’s something profoundly comforting about Narnia’s blend of adventure and deeper meaning, where courage and loyalty are always rewarded.

On the other hand, Alagaësia, with its dragons and rich, intricate lore, calls to the adventurer in me. I’d dream of becoming a Dragon Rider, forging an unbreakable bond with a dragon, and exploring the sweeping landscapes of the Spine or Ellesmera. The magic, the ancient mysteries, and the strength of Eragon’s journey make Alagaësia a place I’d eagerly explore.

Both worlds are steeped in wonder, challenge, and transformation—themes that resonate deeply with me. Whether I’m aiding Narnia in its darkest hours or soaring through Alagaësia’s skies on dragonback, these are the places where my imagination feels most alive.
