Writers Block is a signal that something isn't working right. I might not know what it is, but if I back off for a day or two, I usually figure it out. It might be a character who isn't behaving in a credible way... a plot development that isn't credible, or even a description that is less than awesome. Whatever it is, I try to respect it and analyze why it's happening. Usually, when I'm completely honest with myself, I can figure it out.

I am a native Chicagoan and I've known Pascal Marco most of my life. I was on goodreads to write reviews on his books, and saw you are one of his favorite authors. I am curious about your book Havana Lost. What gave you the inspiration to write about Cuba? I've read Carlos Eire and spent 4 hours watching Che,the documentary, and even History will Absolve Me. My daughter married a Cuban so my grandkids are 1/2 Cuban.

I just finished "An Eye for Murder" (I like to start in order- I'll get to "Jump Cut" soon- but I have to find out what happened to David...). I enjoyed the book and Chicago. I have an odd question: the Zippo lighter in the story, was it one you had or had seen before? Well, not so odd... I live in Bradford, PA and frankly, Zippo is the only thing we can claim, except for Marilyn Horne. Thanks.
