I started reading Close You Eyes, Hold Hands last night. I can't imagine a leaf igloo would keep anybody warm in the kind of weather that we have been experiencing lately. I'd like to know if you have a set writing ritual when you are working on a book. Do you write for a certain amount of hours per day, or at certain times of the day? I'd love any time-management advice you can give. Thanks.

Hi, Shawna. Thanks so much for reading and writing.
I was very impressed when I learned of the homeless teens building igloos made of trash bags packed with frozen leaves. I never lived in one, but at the very least they kept those kids alive -- and that was on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain in the winter.
I write everyday beginning around six a.m., and I write until lunchtime. My goal is to produce 750 to 1,000 words.
My February 22 newspaper column will reveal one of the things I do most days before starting writing. I always repost that column here on my Goodreads blog.
Stay tuned.
Thanks again!

I ordered The Flight Attendant and received today! Excited to start reading it. Your book Midwives got me back into reading for pleasure after college/law school and The Double Bind started my book club that has been meeting for last 10 years. They are two of my favorite books! Do you ever visit bookstores or book clubs in CT area?
