Goodreads asked Brian Turner:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Brian Turner I do believe there are various symptoms of writer's block. Tiredness, lack of confidence, apathy and sometimes boredom.

Tiredness can often cause fast following words to come to an abrupt holt. when this occurs, despite the disciplines of regular writing it is always best to have a small break. A brisk walk can sometimes start the grey matter working again.

Lack of confidence can be a lot more serious when the budding author feels that their ideas are not working. This can considerably slow down any project and the author must remember they are writing the book because they have got the talent.

Apathy often effects everybody in all works of life. When this occurs the author must consider the promises they made to themselves and plod on.

Must people get bored when they are not enjoying what they are doing. Sometimes it helps to go through old cuttings and ideas.
