A Goodreads user asked Janet Lee Carey:

Hi, Janet. Would you recommend your readers to read Wilde Island Chronicles' books in order?

Janet Lee Carey Hi Tsunami,
Each book can be read as a stand alone novel. That said, you might enjoy reading them in order as the stories do connect. For example the Wilde Island queen creates a sanctuary for dragons and fey folk called dragonswood at the end of the book DRAGON'S KEEP. That sanctuary is vital generations later, and the main characters (Tess and Garth) in DRAGONSWOOD show up again in book three of the trilogy, IN THE TIME OF DRAGON MOON. It's fun to see the connections, but the books can be read alone, too. Thanks for asking.
