Goodreads asked Lisa Bingham:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lisa Bingham One of my friends invited me to go with her to a SASS competition in Wyoming. SASS is the Single Action Shooting Society--a group that dresses in Victorian clothing and participates in shooting stages with old-style revolvers, rifles, and shotguns. Before I went with her, I wasn't much of a "gun" person. But I had so much fun, that for a time, I was a member of the group. One day, I realized how much fun it would be to write about Utah cowboys and a similar shooting competition. Thus, the Taggart Brothers Novels were born.
