I am curious to know whether you were interested in words as a child growing up in Sololaki, did you ever write stories back then? Or was writing something you began in the UK? And did you begin your writing in Georgian - as a way to survive the isolation you felt, at first, living in a foreign land?

I was too young to write anything of merit while I was in Georgia. Though I was trying even back then.
I continued writing, albeit in English, once I was in the UK. Writing has always felt like a form of therapy for me. Even without any readers, I would still write. I don't know what I would do without it.

Hello again Leo, I have been re-reading parts of your book. Your story certainly deserves a second read, for the wisdom spoken by various characters. Does this acute observation of life come from your experience of the world? or did you find that once you arrived back in your homeland these wise words woke, vividly prompted from the surroundings, and began speaking in you like lost friends?
