I've read much advice over the years, and nothing has worked for me. All of my ideas have emerged from my internal turmoil. But I wanted this latest book to be short and sweet, so I could capture the fire of inspiration, then let it die. Hmm, this doesn't sound like advice. Oh, yeah, maybe start with short-form writing!
