Hi Michael, first off I just want to say I LOVED The Riyria Revelations!!!! They were fast paced, full of good laughs! So I just got the Riyria Chronicles but I'm not sure if I have them all, I know some of your books are combined? Volume One of the Riyria Chronicles The Crown Tower. 368 pgs. And Volume Two of the Riyria Chronicles The Rose and the Thorn. 347 pages. Thank you for your time!

I'm glad you loved the books. It does get confusing because my Revelation books were published in two different ways (as 6 individual books through a small-pres and self-published, then as 3, 2-book omnibus editions (from a big-five publisher).
As for The Riyria Chronicles - the publisher put them out as individual books - and so they aren't omnibus editions from them...but...the sfbc.com (Science Fiction and Fantasy BookClub) did release an Omnibus edition (if you aren't in the club you can buy a copy from my site.
So the breakdown goes as follows:
The Riyria Revelations
* Theft of Swords (#1 & #2) - with The Crown Conspiracy & Avempartha
* Rise of Empire (#3 & #4) - Nyphron Rising & The Emerald Storm
* Heir of Novron (#5 & #6) - Wintertide & Percepliquis
The Riyria Chronicles
* The Crown Tower
* The Rose and the Thorn
* Blood of Thieves - (Omnibus of book #1 & #2).
There will be a third Chronicle book, and I'm hoping to get it released this year. Thanks for asking!

I've also been impressed with how active you seem to be with your fans and the community here at Goodreads, which drove me to ask this question. I'm an aspiring amateur writer myself, but I've been having trouble getting feedback on my work. Do you have any advice on methods or avenues through which to ask for comments or reviews?

I've been dipping my toe into writing. I'm wondering if you could offer some advice. Some dark topics will appear in my stories. Do you have any advice for writing dark subjects, disturbed characters and scenarios, while not feeling 'icky' about it? Or is that just a part of it?
