Well, Theo was very focused on his 'awesome' life, he always wanted the BIG and EXCITING, but that wasn't what Emaline was looking for. She quite often felt embarrassed for his actions and behaviours, so I wasn't surprised that it didn't work out. I felt like Theo was a very exhausting character, he never really seemed to listen.
She does end up with herself and friends, which is a very realistic ending and I find it important that Dessen showed you do not need a partner at all times, but you can be happy on your own and you need to find out what you want, which is not possible if you are in a relationship at all times.(less)
