For me, there's magic in storytelling. I come from a family of storytellers--my parents and siblings could hold me spellbound, recounting the ordinary in a special way. As a writer, I try to carry on the tradition, taking stories from the spoken tradition & putting them on the page.

I've just discovered you thanks to my husband. We're both graduates of (then) Southwest Missouri State University and he received the College of Business magazine with you on the cover. Great pictures and story by the way! Of course he leaves the article for me to read because I'm a Librarian. Congrats! Because I must ask a question, would you say that you prefer writing standalone novels or series?
