Goodreads asked Joe Nobody:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Joe Nobody If you plan to self-publish, treat your writing as a business. Have a plan, be ready to invest, learn from others.

A good story, that people want to read, trumps everything else. That being said, invest in editors, cover artists and proofreaders. I learned this lesson the hard way.

The old adage, "two heads are better than one," applies to book writing. The more eyes that can see your work before you publish, the better.
