Voodoo Carnival came to mind when I saw a photo gallery of Chernobyl's abandoned amusement park, Pripyat. It was eerie and silent (there were youtube videos as well), and I thought it would be a great site for a gothic horror. Since I loved gothic stories so much, it triggered an idea.
