Is this series connected to the FBAA or F&F series? It says, "Long ago, the world was destroyed by gods." Is this the same world as the two other series? Are the gods the same ones from Illesium?

It is in the suggested reading order of the series (after F&F 3 and FB&A 5 if I remember well) and the MMC, Thorne, has eyes that are described as those of Fates in F&F 3 and 4. So I would say, probebly yes?
