As I say in the opening line of Legacy: "It's a simple linear progression." I was in Vermont hiking. I was alone in a wooded area when black clouds rolled in and thunder rumbled. Suddenly there were lightning flashes of the most unusual shapes and designs. They were beautiful and frightening. I started writing Legacy right then and there. What if lightning was more than just a random weather event caused by random nature? If it's supernatural or metaphysical, is there an identifiable source? Everything else just fell in my lap after that!
