I loved Edgar Sawtelle and was super excited to see this. But, man, is it slow-going or what? I am not drawn in by character or story. The story just moseys along, with geeky details about whatever takes the author's fancy (which is a lot). I'm horrified by its length. Was the editor sleeping on the job? Where are the great Sawtelle dogs? Should I press on?
