After I purchased Neil Philip's book, The Watkins Book of English Folktales, Neil and I began a discussion on Facebook in which he suggested that I write a book on contemporary legends for his publisher. My love of research and contemporary legends and a third chance to discuss them with an even wider audience, ten years after the publication of my second book on contemporary legends, seemed to be a logical next move. And so it was!
