Because "Stone Fox" makes a helluva lot better title than "Little Willy."

the story is based on a myth by a guy who was having a cup of coffee with a friend and that friend knew the myth and told the guy and so on. Also i am not lying that is true look on the back of the book it says that.

The inspiration of the story comes from a local Wyoming legend. In this retelling, the character's name is Stone Fox. The naming of the book acts as an homage to the origins of the story.
