Ann Livi Andrews Robert, I honestly have no idea. My intention is not to weasel anyone out of their copyrights, etc. Gifting a book via Amazon or sending a gift card is one way of giving away free copies without risking distribution rights -- I believe. This is not something I have come across before. Some authors offer their books for free on Amazon for a limited time -- like a promotion day. You could look into any of these options.
