Currently "The Godlost Land" is with my editor and the basic idea was that I wanted to write a traditional epic fantasy without elves. So I used dryads, and from there went to the entire mythos of ancient Greece. But I didn't want to set my novel in ancient Greece, so a created a new land to house the bestiary and pantheon of gods.
