Andrey Kot Honestly, I’m not sure which of my books you’re asking about.
If you mean The Krasinski Collapse, then the part that resonates with me most is how a person reacts when they’re suddenly thrown out of all familiar patterns. Extreme situations strip you down to who you really are.
I’ve also had to lose a certain level of life and start over, so Matthew’s pain is close to me — even though some of his traits are unpleasant to me as a person. That contradiction is what makes him real.
