Sipho Moloi
Sipho Moloi asked Sipho Moloi:

Do you regret becoming a published author?

Sipho Moloi I do sometimes. I've put a lot of effort into all my books and not getting good returns on all that work is very disheartening. What I enjoy about playing online video games and writing for fun is that I get to see results for all the work I put into something. Let's say in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, I put in dozens of hours into the multiplayer. I would end up with a very high ranking and would have received many in-game rewards. Or if I spend many hours writing a book for fun, I would end up with a very long book. It's important for me to see results and/or obtain some sort of reward if I put a lot of effort into something. If all my hard work amounts to nothing, I feel like I wasted my time.

Some days, I think about deleting my books from all platforms and deleting my Wix site. When I was writing during my middle school and high school days, I was doing it for fun. I didn't care for anyone else's opinions since the books were only made for me. With publishing, you have to make what others like if you want high returns (i.e. write to market). You also need enough money for an ad campaign that will boost sales. Well, I've refused to write to market and I have no money for an ad campaign, so I shouldn't be surprised that I get no sales. If things stay the same even after publishing Armored Piercing 5, I might end up deleting everything at the point.
